Hello Everybody!
And I think that I posted this prematurely cause my fingers did a gig across the keyboard and posted with a partial title and that's it...so I'm going to rectify that. Just goes to show you how busy I really have been.
I haven't had a chance to post my Sunday SAL yet so here it is. Don't you love it?
I really just worked on the inside border on Sunday, which was good because I didn't have to follow the chart, and I could watch the red carpet and the Oscars on Sunday. I must say I was disappointed. Not with the winners (because I really don't care about that to be honest) Half the movies that I like don't qualify for Oscar nominations, so that doesn't matter to me. I like to watch what people are wearing! And I have to tell you I thought it was a little lack-lustre this year. No one's outfit popped out to me as being to die for. Oh well. Maybe next year. I do have to say that as far as the show goes, I loved the opening and Lady Gaga...do I have to even say how sensational she was?? Unbelievable...so props to her.
This is just a drive by posting...I will take a couple of pics of my WIP's and hopefully get a chance to post on Friday.
Love you! xoxo

November's IHSW post
Oh what a great weekend for stitching! It was cold and snowy on Saturday, so we hunkered down during the day and watched it blow in. In the evening we did go out with friends for dinner and a couple of drinks, but during the day I was able to start a new project, do some baking and a little bit of tidying. I really wish I had finished the ornament that I had started but I'll be able to finish that up this week.
I also stitched up the Plum Street Sampler section from this week. A couple of crowns and a cross added this week, plus I improvised and corrected a mistake that was made in the chart. I had already finished stitching the flower when I saw that there was a correction posted, but instead of frogging it all out, I improvised with some extra stitches, so mine is going to be a little different than what other's have stitched. But I must say that I really love how it's looking, I was a little leery about my fabric choice at the beginning, but I have to say that I don't think that I could have chosen a better piece for it.
Then finally is Humboldt Coast, my Sunday SAL with Kati. I thought I would get farther with this as well on Sunday but we ended up going out late Sunday afternoon and didn't get home until late evening, and then by then I didn't have any mojo. So I was what I managed in the early afternoon.
This coming weekend is another hunting weekend, so after some shopping on Saturday it's going to be a stitchy weekend (and finishing fingers-crossed).

The perfect house
I went to Michael's yesterday to get some stitching supplies and a couple of things for a tree topper that I want to make into a tree topper. I have been doing some looking on pinterest and various places and saw that Christmas picks are an interesting way to top your trees. I have been struggling for years with the top of my Stitching Tree and this year I have decided to decorate it with picks. They were on for 50% off, plus there was a coupon for an additional 25% off your entire purchase including sales items, so off I went! I pick up some great picks so we'll see how effective I can be with them come time to use them!
Then I was looking at this year's new Lemax pieces and I found the perfect one!!! This one too 40% please the additional 25% so I got it! Do you see what it is??? It's a needleshop!!!! How perfect!!! I can hardly wait to see it on main street in my village.
This morning was the new release of the Mystery sampler from Plum Street Samplers. More star, a flower and Mary's heart. Love it! This one took a better part of the day, but it's done and I'm looking forward to next week's section.
It's a holiday here tomorrow, Remembrance day, where we take the day to honour and remember our forces that so courageously served and still serve our country.
