Just a quickie

Here's my update #4 on the SAL of Home of a Needleworker. I love working on this! I got some stash enhancement that I need to update on as well, but I just don't seem to have the time to do anything. Life is a whirlwind of activity and I've got to slow it down. So hopefully tomorrow I will be able to sit down and actually get a chance to properly blog, and add some pics of some of the goodies that I've bought.

SAL Update #3

I'm a day late in posting the pic, but I didn't have a lot of time yesterday. It was our 6th wedding anniversary yesterday, so hubby and I had some "quality time" together. I am loving how my HofNW is turning out. It's nice to pick it up on Sunday's as have a nice leisurely stitch on a piece that is such a pleasure to work on.

Then if you look closely on this one, you will see that I have a new scissor fobbie! I have to thank Carol for this as she sent it to me as a bit of a prize for stitching the Cricket collection Very Merry Christmas ornament for the month of May at 2009 Christmas Challenge I just love it! And it goes so great with my scissors. So thank you very much Carol!

I did some shopping on the weekend...so hopefully tomorrow I will get a chance to take some pics of some new stash. It's not cross-stitchy but it will all be incorporated eventually. Ribbons and fabric and such.

June Zooms

I finished my June square tonight, so I thought that I would post it before I went blog hopping. There is nothing more inspiring to me then seeing what everyone is working on and how they are progressing, and finishing their projects. Although the bad side to all of that is that is just more projects that I add to my wish list...which is already longer then my lifetime will ever be able to accommodate. But oh well. If the boys can have their toys, then us girls can have out stash!

I do feel another stash enhancement coming on soon though, there are a few things that I HAVE to have! EEKKKK...never a good thing. LOL

SAL Update #2

Well yesterday was my 2nd Sunday of stitching on our SAL of HofN. I admittedly didn't get a lot of time to stitch yesterday. We went for a drive out to the country in the afternoon. The sun decided to come out after the fiasco of a weather day we had on Saturday, so we got in the truck and went for a drive...to look at campsites and some new fishing spots. So hopefully the weather will start acting as it should and we'll get to use the new trailer soon enough. But with that being said I didn't get many stitches into my project :( My goal was to get the word "needleworker" stitched, but as you can see......

I should have an update pic on my BC snapper ready for tomorrow as well. I figure once I work out and I shower I'll get a chance to finish up June's square and then maybe even get ROS back in the qsnaps.

June Ornie Happy Dance

I stitched my first ornie out of one of my new books! Wooo hoooo This is Christmas Cow by Leisure arts, out of the Leisure Arts 101 Mini Ornaments book, stitched on 28 Ct White Jobelan. There's a companion piece to it as well, it's a fox wearing a Santa hat, so I will probably be doing that one next month. We'll see how the wind blows.

I've got my threads pulled and my BC June snapper in the q-snaps, so I'll be putting the first few stitches in that tonight while Hubby watches the hockey game.

Looks like it's going to be a good weekend for stitching this weekend in the lovely city of Calgary! The are forecasting rain Friday. SNOW on Saturday morning with heavy rain Saturday afternoon. ARGH!!!!!!! Dvd's, popcorn and stitching sound good to anyone??? Unbelieveable! I hope my flowers and tomatoes survive. Time will tell.

SAL Update #1

My first Sunday stitching on Home of a Needleworker 2. I love it. It was hard to put it down and put it away until next Sunday! The hard decision on this one was where to start? The top? The bottom? The middle? The wording? The house? Well as you can see I decided to work from the bottom up. I am going to have to find something clever to store it in while we work on it though, cause it's going to take a while for it to be done. Helen already has chosen a beautiful bag that she will be holding her's in. (I'm jealous, it's so pretty). I may have to plug in the sewing machine and stitch something up as well.

Oh my goodness, I was looking at my little stitching table yesterday as I was picking thru projects and I sat down and laughed at myself, knowing that Kati is probably smiling and giggling to herself as well. For those people that know me and my stitching habits, I was (and I stress the work was)a one project girl! One project at a time, finish then start another, no in between projects, no side projects. Just focus on one piece start to finish! NOW!!!! I feel like I have so many things on the go I don't know what to do when! LOL The only piece I know for sure is my SAL piece that I will stitch on Sundays. I'm going to start my June ornie tonight, then move on to June's Bent Creek piece. Then I think I have to get into Rose of Sharon, since I didn't get it finished for Mother's day, I'll hopefully get it finished by Mom's birthday for the 28th! HA!!!! And I still want to stitch and finish Always and Forever for the 15th for my anniversary. Double HA!!!!

Yep, I'm no longer a 1 project girl evidently! LOL
