Petal Power.

Well I thought that I would have a happy dance by now with my Suzannah SAL with Kati, but it has yet to be...perhaps this weekend.  But at least I'm closer to the end.  just have to fill in the petals now. YEAH!

Not much movement on my Fatmen SAL either! But it's coming along.  I have run out of the white so I have to make a run to Michael's and pick some up.  A trip to Michael's is never a bad thing!

I have been so busy this summer so far. Our summers are so short here in Calgary, that when it does arrive we try to pack as much outdoor activity into our lives as possible.  We have been doing day road trips....then camping...doing yardwork...there was Stampede.  Oh it's just been a whirlwind..and I LOVE IT!  So all that takes a little time away from my stitching and some posting as well.  But I hve been stalking all of your blogs and keeping up with you all...even though I haven't been commenting.

both are looking good! You are so close to being done Suzannah! I'm so jealous!!

I haven't touched a needle in a couple of weeks due to my hand, but I'm almost back to normal... so I may try and stitch this weekend...

I know what you mean about being busy during our lovely but short summers! Sounds like yours has been super fun so far!

Summer is a bit slower here in blogland, I noticed over the years. Everyone has lots of other things going on.

Both pieces look fantastic! I really feel your pain having to go stash shopping =P Here's to a happy dance soon!

Glad your summer has been going well, Barbi! It's just been way too hot to even be outside here, but we did have some rain going through finally and it cooled things off last night...

Your stitching looks great--I'm sure Suzannah will be done in no time!!

Suzanne is looking great and you're so close to finishing! The fatmen are adorable too! I hear you about trying enjoy the weather as much as possible. Even here in Vancouver we don't get a heck of a lot of sun so when we do, it's best to soak it up!!

Barbi your summer sounds like ours. We are lucky if we get 3 months of sunshine. July was iffy but so far August has been nicer. We should have pat of September that the sun will shine. We stitch about the same speed and I have 2 more charts to start also. I do have a little bit to finish up on 2 charts. I didn't get to stitch yesterday so I'm catching up today.

Barbi, are you using DMC or overdyed floss for the charts? If you are using DMC I can't see any difference in the finished stitching between the different threads just a lot of money!

Almost there, I too have stalled on the fatman. I will soon get back to it I am thinking. I am 90% sure we are moving back to Calgary we should have a stitching date and meet up if you like??? I used to stitch with a bunch of girls at 2 busy stitching but unfortunaly closed now. I will post on my blog when I am there.
